Welcome to another episode of Strangers with Comics. This episode might sound fine but behind the scenes, this episode was cursed from the get go. To start with, when we began recording, Gabe’s connection started dropping in and out. He had been having problems with his landline so it was not too terribly unexpected. So Gabe switched to the phone line and called. This is why the beginning of the episode is somewhat clippy. Once that little problem was overcome, Pamela, the program we use to record the show, decided not to work at all. For about an hour we tried to get it to work. Re-installed, upgraded, downgraded…nothing worked. But now it was midnight but somehow, we managed to get it working. We had a special guest lined up, Ray Allaire who is an assistant manager at the local Game Stop to talk about video games. We skyped Ray in and got a good half hour of discussion. At this point, it was 1 a.m. so we held off finishing the show until the next day. The next day the recording went really well as you can tell by the much improved audio. But when it came time to mix and edit, much of the stuff we recorded the night before was unusable due to some really bad clicking embedded in the audio. We worked for a long time to try and remove it but it only made it sound worse. So what you are left with is a truncated version of the show that could have been. Sorry about that Ray but next week we will have your segment no matter what.

This week we have a variety of topics on tap. We start with an extended week in geek which includes an iFanboy impersonation and a distinct lack of talking about the weather. The main segment starts with a short segment about E3, mainly focusing on the new motion controller wars. Then we fire up some interviews from Big Apple Con courtesy of Gabe.
In our final segment we discuss this week’s comics. Books we liked included Batman, Booster Gold and Hack Slash.
Books we hated included Green Lantern Corps, Titans and GI Joe: Origins.

This week we start off with our usual banter about what went down this week. Gabe drank too much while Rob and Tony attended Meet in the Middle (http://www.meetinthemiddle4equality.com) you can catch a glimpse of them in the videos from the site.
Our main topic is Terminator Salvation. We discuss the Terminator franchise as a whole including the four movies and the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV show. We take some side treks to discuss the Govenator and Tony rants about geeks and their need to have mysteries explained (ala BSG). Since we recorded late on a Sunday, Tony shoved in a lot of sound clips from the films to wake up Gabe and Rob.
Then we move on to our regular discussion of comic books:
Books we liked included Wolverine, Spider Man: The Short Halloween, Star Wars Legacy and Mouse Guard.
Books we hated this week included Teen Titans and Invincible (we pretty much agree that Invincible needs to end) Invincible (we pretty much agree that Invincible needs to end)
